Cover People are actively searching for a Behaviour Mentor looking for an exciting position to make a difference by supporting a secondary aged child with complex SEMH needs and challenging behaviours across their timetable in a mainstream secondary school in Oldham. The school would prefer applicants with experience in an Alternate Provision or PRU however this isn t essential.

Key Responsibilities:
Mentor on a 1:1 basis to provide social and emotional support Liaise directly with the Assistant and SENDCo to ensure behaviour plans are being successfully implemented Navigate around challenges particularly with challenging behaviour Promote self:esteem and independence through consistent support Build rapport with departments, pastoral officers and SLT to ensure the highest possible level of support
Requirements:
Alternate Provision OR PRU experience is valuable but not essential Understanding of SEMH and experience of dealing with challenging behaviours Team Tech or De:escalation training is beneficial

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07 statutory holiday pay. The above vacancy is a temporary position. Occasionally, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date. We offer flexibility with this, as we understand some candidates may not wish to commit to a permanent contract.
