Prince Philip Hospital is a District General Hospital with around 250 beds. The post requires a highly motivated pharmacist with excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills. You will undertake a range of ward rotations and will also undertake dispensary based duties including clinical checking of homecare prescriptions and the infusions unit, as well as outpatient prescriptions.

These posts will enable you to deepen knowledge and broaden transferable skills under the direction of experienced colleagues. You will build on previous experience, developing greater autonomy and responsibility, whilst gaining experience in a number of specialist areas. The postholder will be supported to undertake the non-medical prescribing qualification if not already held, or will be supported to use the qualification to further develop expertise.

You will be expected to support junior pharmacists within the team as well as Trainee Pharmacists and Undergraduate Students undertaking the MPharm course.

The post holders will contribute to planning and delivering the medicines optimisation strategy.
