Vacancy: Education Mental Health Practitioner/CYPWP (Band 5) – Cheshire West MHST
We are looking for an EMHP/CYPWP to work with schools, colleges and families. The post holder will provide assessment, training, case management and evidence-based interventions, including Low Intensity CBT for children, young people and parents/carers.
Responsibilities
* Deliver 1:1 and group Low Intensity CBT based interventions.
* Provide direct work with children, young people and families in schools and other settings.
* Deliver training, consultation and guidance to education professionals.
* Access regular case‑management and clinical supervision individually and in groups.
* Carry out assessment and other interventions on an individual and wider systems basis under clinical supervision.
Qualifications and Experience
* Professional registration with the BPS or BABCP, or ability to obtain within 6 months of start date.
* Band 4 trainee EMHP/CYWP qualified in September 2026 may be considered.
* Part‑time work – 22.5 hours per week.
* Experience working in educational settings is desirable.
Contract
Initial 6‑month fixed‑term to allow completion of professional registration. Contract will be amended to permanent once registration is confirmed.
