What You’ll Be Doing
As part of our close‑knit engineering team, you’ll report to the Electrical Engineering Manager and be responsible for keeping our plant and equipment running efficiently. You’ll handle day‑to‑day electrical maintenance, carry out preventative work, and help implement improvements that make a difference to performance and reliability.
In this role, you’ll:
* Maintain and repair machinery and support systems to reduce downtime
* Carry out preventative maintenance to avoid unplanned issues
* Support improvements to equipment and working processes
* Play an active role in your own learning and development
* Help deliver projects and upgrades that improve site performance
* Work alongside colleagues across departments and support third‑party contractors when needed
Your work will help ensure customer orders are met on time, safely, and to a high standard – contributing directly to the success of the wider business.
What You’ll Need
To be considered for this opportunity, you’ll need to be a time‑served electrician, ideally with a recognised qualification in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
You should also have:
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
* A flexible, proactive approach with a focus on safety
* The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
* Familiarity with PLCs and control systems (preferred but not essential)
* A commitment to continuous improvement
