Overview
We are opening a brand-new supported accommodation home in Wrexham for children aged 16–17 years, and we are looking for dedicated Support Workers to join our team. This role involves providing daily support to young people as they develop their independence skills in a safe, nurturing, and structured environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide daily practical and emotional support to young people aged 16–17.
* Promote independence by supporting with cooking, budgeting, cleaning, and self-care.
* Encourage participation in education, training, and employment.
* Maintain accurate records, reports, and risk assessments.
* Safeguard and protect the welfare of all children in line with policies and procedures.
* Work as part of a team to ensure the home runs smoothly.
Requirements
* Compassionate, resilient, and committed to supporting young people.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
* Previous experience in care or supported accommodation is an advantage but not essential.
* Full UK driving licence is desirable.
Location: Wrexham – New Home Opening
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)
