You will be experienced, self-motivated, and exceptionally well-organised, with the ability to utilise both management and leadership skills in providing excellent services to staff, residents, volunteers, participants, and business users at YMCA Doncaster.
This role involves managing both strategic and operational tasks, requiring someone adept at balancing planned and unexpected work.
You will work with the Chief Executive and Deputy Chief Executive to form the senior leadership team, bringing expertise in facilities and buildings to support our strategic plan.

Main Responsibilities
* Manage and support staff and volunteers to ensure compliance with legislation, funding, policies, procedures, and KPIs.
* Maintain accreditation and compliance records, oversee quality management submissions, and act as the responsible/senior person as required.
* Operate a Health and Safety management system, including risk assessments, in accordance with legal obligations and policies.
* Provide Health and Safety inductions for new staff, volunteers, residents, and external users, addressing issues promptly.
* Manage property condition, cleaning, planned maintenance, and responsive repairs.
* Maintain property records and asset registers.
* Create arrangements for scoping work, obtaining quotations, and recommending approval for large or exceptional expenditures.
* Oversee KPIs for accommodation management, including minimising voids and maximising rent and service charge collection.
* Manage reception services to ensure a positive customer experience.
* Oversee IT issues, including equipment provision and problem resolution, liaising with external IT providers.
* Provide expert input on facilities and operations for planning and launching new initiatives.
* Draft and recommend policy and procedure updates.
* Attend board meetings or relevant subgroups to report and advise.
* Manage specific areas of budgeted income and expenditure.
* Ensure appropriate and compliant insurance arrangements, overseeing renewals and claims.
* Ensure utility supply arrangements are cost-effective and appropriate.
* Maintain professionalism and appropriate boundaries in the role.
* Perform additional duties as necessary to meet YMCA Doncaster’s needs.
Person Specification
* Experience managing buildings and safety, delivering KPIs.
* Effective management and leadership of staff and external contractors.
* Budget management experience.
* Experience working with boards or governance/NED levels.
* Understanding of facilities management, especially in multi-use community premises.
* Sufficient Health and Safety knowledge, ideally with a relevant qualification.
* Experience in regulated services and statutory compliance.
* Strong organisational skills and commitment to efficiency.
* Ability to take full responsibility for designated areas.
* Leadership experience in challenging situations.
