Here at Jackson we are a big believer that happy people do a good job and we are now looking for an Environmental Manager to join our QHSE team. This role will be both office and home working along with travelling to various sites, so a full UK driving licence is essential. The main office you will be working out of will be Ipswich, Head Office.
Responsibilities
* Support development of the environmental strategy for the business
* Lead on the delivery of the environmental and sustainability objectives.
* Lead on environmental data management, analysis and reporting including energy and carbon reporting
* Ensure business compliance with environmental legislation and regulations across a range of projects
* Support projects and provide environmental advice and with regard to design, legal compliance and construction
* Lead audits and inspections working around ISO 14001 and PAS 2080.
* Look for opportunities to drive improvements and deliver training where required
* Act as a point of contact for environmental matters with key stakeholders including clients, contractors, and regulators
Ideal candidate
The ideal candidate for the Environmetal Manager will be able to demonstrate environmental experience, ideally within the construction, utilities, infrastructure, civil engineering, or related sector.
A professional membership with a recognised environmental body (IEMA, CIEEM, CIWEM) as well as knowledge and experience of the following are preferable but not essential:
* Environment assessment and impact management
* SECR
* PAS 2080
* ESOS
* PPN06/21
* Science based targets initiative
