About the role
The school offers an opportunity to an individual through a PGCE partnership programme (2 years) which is fully funded by the Welsh Government through the provision of the Open University. The successful candidate will teach one of the subjects involved in the project through the medium of Welsh. The school is fully committed to supporting the Welsh Government's campaign to increase the number of Welsh speakers in Wales.
Subjects involved in the project are: Mathematics, Science, Welsh, English, Design and Technology, Computing / ICT, Modern Foreign Languages (French).
The programme is aimed at graduates who are either currently working and want to change careers, or who have previous experience of working in an environment with children and young people. This may include teaching assistants and learning coaches who wish to progress in their careers as well as youth officers. Applications are also welcome from applicants who are in their final year at university.
The ability to teach through the medium of Welsh is necessary.
