Overview
This role is for a high-level network professional responsible for the overall strategy and vision for an organization's network infrastructure. This role involves developing and implementing the organization's network architecture, overseeing the design and deployment of complex network systems, and ensuring the network is reliable, secure, and scalable. This role is for an experienced Wireless Network Architect to design and implement wireless network solutions. You will have extensive knowledge of wireless networking and a strong understanding of network architecture and design principles. This is a hands-on role that requires both technical expertise and the ability to work closely with the business to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions across the business.
Airband note: At Airband, our Networks Team is at the forefront of delivering cutting-edge connectivity to rural communities. We’ve launched a hyperfast 1Gbps wireless broadband package powered by Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) technology. With four upgraded sites already live in Shropshire and Wrexham, the network reaches over 11,000 properties and we aim to extend coverage to another 30,000 by year end. Key Responsibilities
* Design, implement, and troubleshoot wireless networks
* Conduct site surveys and analysis to identify optimal locations for access points and other wireless networking equipment
* Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams during the deployment of wireless networks
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and customer service
* Support the development of the organisation's wireless strategy and vision, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives
* Support the design and deployment of complex wireless systems, ensuring they are efficient, reliable, and scalable
* Support network-related projects, including planning, executing, and delivering projects on time and within budget
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as telecommunications security acts
* Stay up to date with new wireless technologies, trends, and best practices and recommend changes or upgrades to the organisation's network architecture

* Travel – Ability to travel as needed
