Are you a reliable and proactive Facilities Assistant looking for flexible work across a variety of primary school settings?
We are working on behalf of a respected Multi-Academy Trust to recruit Facilities Assistants supporting a number of primary schools across the Sheffield area. This is a flexible supply role ideal for individuals with a hands-on approach and a commitment to maintaining safe and welcoming school environments.
The Role:
As a Facilities Assistant, you will play a key part in the day-to-day operations of school sites. Your responsibilities will include:
Opening and closing the school premises (key holder duties)
Carrying out basic maintenance and repairs
Ensuring the school site is clean, safe, and secure
Responding to site-related issues as required
Assisting with health & safety checks and compliance tasks
Supporting the site team and school leadership with operational needs
What We're Looking For:
Previous experience in a facilities, caretaking, or maintenance role (school-based experience desirable but not essential)
Strong awareness of health & safety and site security
Flexibility to work across multiple school sites in Sheffield
Reliability, punctuality, and a proactive attitude
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
