Emergency Call Handler - Evenings (Part Time)
Join Appello UK as an Emergency Call Handler for evenings, ensuring timely support for vulnerable clients.
Hours: 18 hours per week. Shift pattern: 3 days per week (Mon‑Sun) 20:00–02:00, with 1 weekend off in 4, rota 4 weeks in advance.
Salary: £11,990.16 per annum (£12.81 per hour). Location: Hybrid – Norwich.
Start date: 2nd February 2026.
Training: 4 weeks full‑time (Mon‑Fri 09:30–17:00). Requires 5 Mbps upload, 15 Mbps download internet speed.
Responsibilities
* Arrange help for vulnerable clients, including contacting emergency services.
* Answer and handle varying calls (reassurance, accidental test calls, etc.) with a calm, empathetic manner.
* Meet personal targets while delivering excellent customer service.
Qualifications
* Minimum 1 year experience in a call centre environment dealing with customers, remote working experience.
* Good general standard of education.
* Desire to help community, empathy and ability to communicate with distressed callers.
* Resilience and drive for targets.
