About The Role
The purpose of the role is CWA Senior Logistics Manager Facilities and Welfare. The Senior Logistics Manager for Facilities and Welfare is responsible for leading and delivering high quality accommodation and welfare services across all CWA sites, including the management of on and offsite buildings, desks, lockers, canteens, and other facility assets. This includes all parking and cycle storage requirements.
The role ensures logistics priorities are translated into effective operational plans that support workforce needs and service performance. It also oversees planning, documentation, forecasting, and resource requirements for Delivery Teams.
The Senior Logistics Manager leads the development and continuous improvement of facility and welfare management systems, ensuring compliance and producing regular reporting and KPIs. The role will also manage and coordinate logistics for the CWA and function as a point of contact for the client on all matters relating to logistics by the CWA.
What you’ll be doing
* Act as the primary point of contact for the coordination, planning, and delivery of CWA Facilities and welfare services, ensuring alignment with strategic and operational priorities.
* Take ownership of welfare and accommodation operations across all CWA locations, overseeing the management and utilisation of buildings, offices, desks, lockers, canteens, and welfare spaces.
* Develop and maintain strategy documentation to support organisational goals and enhance cross‑functional collaboration across Facilities, Welfare, and Delivery Teams.
* Coordinate CWA‑wide planning and implementation of facilities and welfare services, including documentation, forecasting, and resource planning to support workforce requirements.
* Oversee the development, integration, and continuous improvement of facility and welfare management systems, ensuring compliance and high‑quality reporting through KPIs.
* Manage and monitor all workforce transport arrangements, including bus services and daily travel methods, ensuring accurate tracking, recording, and reporting of how personnel commute to and from work to support operational planning, welfare requirements, and regulatory compliance. This includes liaison with security and the implementation of security measures.
* Record and register all new accommodation for use, re‑use and re‑sale where required.
* Manage and coordinate all Facilities and Welfare provision for the CWA and act as the key liaison with the client on service performance, compliance, and facilities‑related issues.
* Ensure clear communication channels and consistent reporting to maintain transparency and strong client relationships.
* Review and manage KPIs with regular monitoring of standards, ensuring that all KPIs are met.
* Ensure that protected characteristics requirements are included.
* Ensure that planned and reactive maintenance procedures are up to date and suitable for use.
* Ensure that a snow and ice clearance policy is suitable and that resources are available.
* Support daily on‑site activities, including the planning and execution of welfare and facility operations.
* Plan and lead meetings and discussions.
* Act as a central hub for all functions and engage to discuss forecasting of resource numbers, in line with desk spaces, lockers and to comply with legislation.
* Oversee meeting room booking systems.
Who we’re looking for
Knowledge & Skills
Essential:
* Experience of managing operations and logistics within a civil engineering major projects environment or similar environments.
Desirable:
* Nuclear/license condition experience and/or leading construction delivery sites.
* Good knowledge and experience in construction management.
* Knowledge of legislative welfare requirements within the construction industry.
* Understanding of workforce movements management and challenges.
* Good stakeholder management skills.
* Experience in multinational operations.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
* CSCS Supervisor.
* IOSH Managing Safety or SSSTS.
Desirable or equivalent:
* SMSTS Training.
* CSCS Manager.
