2 â What Youâll Do?
As a Claims Manager on the Hinkley Point C nuclear power plant project, you will play a critical role in managing contractual claims and commercial risks. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop, submit, and negotiate claims and contract amendments, ensuring alignment with the stringent regulatory and operational standards of the HPC project.
* Analyze, develop, and prepare detailed claims (defensive and offensive) and contract amendments related to the HPC project, collaborating with planning, finance, quality, engineering teams, and the legal department.
* Lead negotiations with clients, joint venture partners, subcontractors, and insurers, supporting the Project Manager to resolve disputes efficiently while protecting project interests.
* Manage contractual and commercial risks during project execution, ensuring compliance with nuclear industry standards and HPC-specific requirements.
* Monitor contractual performance and advise on risk mitigation strategies related to claims and contract variations.

4 â Who You Are
* Proven track record in claims management within nuclear or large-scale infrastructure projects, ideally with experience on similar nuclear projects.
* Strong understanding of nuclear contractual frameworks
* Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a complex stakeholder environment.
* Ability to interpret technical, commercial, and legal information in a nuclear context.
