An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of Service Delivery Manager for Electrophysiology and Intervention in the cardiology department.
This is a crucial position within the Division management structure. Reporting to the Service Manager, the Service Delivery Manager will be responsible for providing operational management support and assisting in the delivery and development of services within the Barts Heart Centre.
You will need to have a strong commitment to improving performance, including scheduling, RTT and performance targets, while remaining passionate about quality. You will need a proven track record of successful operational management, and you will be expected to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills, as well as the ability to use your initiative.
The post holder will work closely with the clinical teams to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of services.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will be responsible for ensuring that services are efficiently and effectively run at the St Bartholomew’s site. This will be achieved through excellent human resources, financial and performance management, and leadership in change management to improve processes and patient outcomes.
The post holder will take the lead on specific modernisation projects and will also be operationally responsible for designated areas of electrophysiology and intervention.
The post holder will be responsible for meeting service-specific and corporate strategic objectives by providing management support to staff within their areas of management.
