About the Role
As a Unit Manager with Exemplar Health Care, you’ll hold a senior position under the Clinical Nurse Manager, leading a team of nurses and care staff. You will drive quality, maintain high standards of care, oversee clinical elements, ensure accurate care plans and risk assessments, act as the Named Nurse for residents, and manage medication ordering and administration.
Responsibilities
* Lead your unit’s care and nursing teams to meet medical, physical and emotional needs of residents.
* Provide strong leadership to maintain and continuously develop high standards of care and drive continuous improvement.
* Oversee and manage all unit clinical elements and associated risks.
* Ensure care plans and risk assessments are completed, reviewed and updated promptly.
* Act as the Named Nurse for residents under your care, overseeing their care profiles.
* Supervise and manage ordering, handling, storage, administration and disposal of medication.
Required Skills & Experience
* Valid first‑level nursing registration with a Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) PIN.
* Post‑registration and management or supervisory experience or equivalent training/qualifications.
* Thorough understanding of best practice in nursing care.
* Excellent clinical and communication skills.
* Enthusiastic approach to encouraging and motivating staff.
* Confidence to work independently on initiative.
* Good standard of digital skills.
