Based: Milton Keynes
Salary: £65,160 - £75,000

Responsibilities
As our Finance Business Partner, you’ll take full ownership of the financial performance of several customer contracts. You’ll provide insightful analysis, deliver accurate reporting, influence operational teams, and support the business with clear commercial guidance.
This role is perfect for someone who loves being hands‑on with the numbers while also working closely with non‑finance colleagues and customers to deliver real value.
Business Partnering
* Build strong, trusted relationships with Operational Directors, senior managers and customers.
* Attend customer and operational meetings, providing financial clarity and commercial insight.
Contract Ownership & Commercial Support
* Develop a deep understanding of various contract models (standalone projects, open book, fixed price).
* Support bids, contract amendments and business plans with high‑quality financial input.
* Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and drive margin enhancement.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
* Complete monthly results, including accurate revenue calculations aligned to contract terms.
* Produce insightful monthly commentary covering KPIs, working capital, cash flow and projections.
* Manage balance sheet items including accruals, deferred costs and prepayments.
* Support the monthly billing cycle and ensure accurate recording of time and costs.
* Lead annual budget preparation and ongoing forecasting.
* Provide financial trends, performance analysis and decision‑support to stakeholders.
Ad Hoc & Wider Support
* Deliver finance training to operational teams when needed.
* Assist with audit preparation for year‑end statutory accounts and tax filings.
Respond to ad hoc finance and operational queries.
Requirements
Qualifications
* ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified (or equivalent).
Experience
* Strong background in finance business partnering.
* Experience managing multiple customer contracts.
* Proven ability to produce high‑quality financial reporting with value‑added commentary.
* Confident dealing with senior management and customers.
* Experience within facilities management is desirable.
* Exposure to process design and implementation is a plus.
