General Secondary Teacher
Location: Redcar
Salary: £150 – £220 per day (dependent on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
GSL Education are currently recruiting a flexible and enthusiastic General Secondary Teacher to work in schools across Redcar. This General Secondary Teacher role is ideal for qualified teachers who are confident delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects and supporting pupils in their learning.
As a General Secondary Teacher, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning, managing classrooms effectively, and creating a positive learning environment. Schools are keen to appoint a General Secondary Teacher who is adaptable, reliable, and confident working with different age groups.
The Role of the General Secondary Teacher Will Include:
* Delivering pre-prepared lessons across various secondary subjects.
* Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
* Ensuring pupils remain engaged and on task during lessons.
* Supporting pupils with their learning and responding to questions.
* Following school procedures and safeguarding requirements.
* Providing a high standard of pastoral care as a General Secondary Teacher.
The Ideal General Secondary Teacher Will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Have experience working in secondary school settings.
* Be confident, adaptable, and organised.
* Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills.
* Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply).
* Have a fully checkable work history.
