Process Improvement Engineer

Salary: cGBP45k – GBP50k (negotiable based on experience).
Location: Near Coleshill, Birmingham, West Midlands, United Kingdom.
* Identify and implement process improvements using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality.
* Collaborate with engineering teams to perform DMAIC activities and eliminate inefficiencies across manufacturing and company processes.
* Monitor and analyse KPIs to spot improvement opportunities and drive corrective actions.
* Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives, orchestrate Kaizen events, and foster a continuous improvement culture.
* Establish effective relationships with shift supervisors, provide direction, train and mentor colleagues on SOPs and lean principles.
* Manage projects from planning to implementation, ensuring on-time, within-budget delivery.
* Improve factory floor layouts, optimise workflow and operator movement, and liaise with the Engineering team on procurement and implementation of new plant and equipment.
* Revisit implemented changes to sustain results and ensure continual performance.
* Minimum 5 years of proven experience in a dedicated process improvement manufacturing environment.
* Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing processes and methodologies (Six Sigma, 5S, PDCA, Kaizen, Kanban, etc.).
* Qualification: HND level (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline.
* Experience with AutoCAD and the Microsoft Office suite.
* Excellent influencing and communication skills at all levels; ability to diagnose, define problems, measure, collect and analyse data, determine root cause, select and implement solutions, and control/sustain outcomes.
