Due to continued expansion, our client is looking to appoint a Senior Bookkeeper to be based in Inverness. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to develop their skills and knowledge of Accounting in a professional office setting while gaining experience in multiple finance software systems.
Duties include:
* Bookkeeping and preparation of statutory client accounts.
* Reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
* Compilation and submission of VAT returns.
* Payroll and CIS filings.
* Liaising with clients.
* Updating and maintaining accurate client accounts records.
Person Specification:
* Previous accounts/bookkeeping experience is preferred.
* Applicants must have an aptitude for learning and the desire to progress a career within an accountancy & finance environment.
* Ability to operate effectively with accuracy and attention to detail.
* Strong IT skills including MS office and financial software systems.
* Ability to pick up new skills quickly.
* A willingness to learn and undertake a range of training and development programmes is required.
