We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our friendly Cardiac Investigations team at Worthing Hospital as a Healthcare Science Practitioner (Cardiology).
We are looking for enthusiastic, highly motivated applicants wanting to further their training and experience in all areas of Cardiac Physiology with a view for progression and helping to shape our workforce for the future.
To assist in delivery of a high quality Cardiac Investigations service to inpatients and outpatients of University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust – Worthing Hospital.
Responsibilities
* Working towards becoming an independent Cardiac Physiologist/Healthcare Science Practitioner within a wide range of investigations including echocardiography, pacemaker, ICD and complex device interrogation and follow‑up with supervision; training and assisting in PPM/ICD/CRT device implant procedures; assisting in all invasive investigations in the Cardiac Catheter Lab and assisting in providing comprehensive reports; Working towards leading in Exercise Tolerance Testing as well as undertaking Holter analysis and reporting
* Organising and managing own workload
* Being conversant with Cardiac Arrest protocol
* Assisting in the supervision and training of other staff and healthcare professionals where required
