Overview
Associate - Asset Management role at WSP in the UK & Ireland. This position is part of the Strategic Asset Management team, which grows to provide advisory and consultancy services to road, rail and aviation clients.
About Your Role
Our Strategic Asset Management team is growing. As an Associate within the team, you will work closely with the Head of Strategic Asset Management and Asset Management Directors to deliver ambitious growth plans. You will provide technical leadership, deliver quality on time and within budget, and mentor junior team members. You will take a leading role across the portfolio on delivery, project performance, client relationships and people development, while contributing to the team\'s operational performance and strategy.
Responsibilities
* Safety, health and wellbeing (SH&W) leadership – demonstrate strong leadership embedding an SH&W culture across teams.
* Contribute to operational performance with Head of Strategic Asset Management, including:
o Ensuring successful commercial project performance
o Delivering to monthly business KPIs
* Lead the development and implementation of strategic asset management frameworks for clients across infrastructure and other sectors (e.g. highways, transportation, rail, defence, utilities).
* Provide technical leadership on complex projects with expertise in risk-based decision-making, whole-life asset planning, information management and regulatory compliance.
* Lead analytical staff and technical experts to inform long-term capital investment programmes.
* Manage resources and develop relationships with other teams.
* Agree fees and manage the commercial position on projects.
What We Will Be Looking For You To Demonstrate
* You will likely be a Chartered Engineer or similar with experience including:
* A strong understanding of design and maintenance engineering challenges faced by at least one industry, preferably including highways.
* Experience with asset data systems and configuring or specifying Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems, CMMS or DSTs.
* Experience and understanding of asset management practices and theory, and business strategy.
* Broad knowledge of regulatory frameworks affecting UK infrastructure development.
* Strong expertise in ISO 55000, asset lifecycle planning, investment planning, risk-based asset management strategies and digital transformation in asset management.
* Business acumen and desire to progress into an operational role.
* Ability to develop strong client relationships and collaborate across the business (regionally and internationally).
* Strong commercial awareness and ability to influence financial performance on projects.
