We're looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Design team based in Liverpool. The team is involved in designing a wide range of building types and site redevelopments across various sectors such as education, retail, blue light, conservation, and commercial, serving both public and private clients.

Location: Liverpool
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, with some flexibility available—just let us know your preferences when you speak to us.
Responsibilities:
* Supporting the Civil and Structural Engineering team by producing and reviewing structural design calculations, drawings, models, strategy reports, specifications, and schedules.
* Coordinating structural engineering information within the team and with other disciplines such as architecture, landscape architecture, and building services engineering.
* Developing and implementing structural concept design strategies, monitoring progress against sustainability and low carbon targets.
* Visiting sites for surveys and inspections; attending meetings with clients and other professionals.
* Mentoring junior engineers and technicians, supporting professional development.
* Assisting with obtaining necessary consents via Building Control and other statutory processes.
Candidate Profile:
* Qualifications such as BSc, MSc, BEng, or MEng in Structural or Civil Engineering; Chartered Engineer status (CEng, Member, or Associate Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers or Civil Engineers).
* Relevant experience in structural steelwork and reinforced concrete design according to British/European standards; familiarity with CDM regulations and UK construction techniques.
* Experience working within multidisciplinary teams, attending meetings with clients and professionals, and designing various building structures.
* Full driving license for site visits.
