I am currently supporting a school in Telford and Wrekin to recruit for a Science specialist to start in September 2025
About the school:
The all-inclusive comprehensive Telford and Wrekin school are currently going through an exciting period of growth and are looking to expand their current staff.
The school has over 1000 students on roll, and the curriculum allows students to draw on knowledge, understanding and skills developed to prepare for life after their schooling years!
Due to the schools location, it is easily accessible for Shropshire, Staffordshire and West Midlands applicants.
About the role:
Subject: Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
Timetable: Full Time preferable
Start: September 2025
Duration: Autumn Term initially.
Key stage: KS3/KS4
LEA: Telford and Wrekin
Requirements and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Science, Education, or a related field (PGCE or QTS preferred).
* Proven experience teaching Science at the secondary level, preferably in a similar educational setting.
* Strong knowledge of the Science curriculum.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
* Dedication to promoting a positive learning environment and supporting the holistic development of students.
* Commitment to upholding the school's values and ethos.
* We will seek full referencing and DBS checks will before placing.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare and deliver exciting lessons that cater to all students
Develop schemes of work and lesson plans that are in accordance with the curriculum
Provide a supportive and positive learning environment for all students.
Identify and select different instructional resources and methods to meet students' varying needs.
Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching practices and support student success.
