As a Maintenance Caretaker, you will be responsible for ensuring the service facilities are fit for purpose, gardening, and regularly conducting audits to identify and repair faults, ensuring a safe environment for service users, staff, and visitors.
Working alongside an established team, you will handle various maintenance tasks, liaising with contractors to support the upkeep of the service.

As a Maintenance Caretaker, you will be:
* Assisting with maintaining the service, buildings, facilities, and equipment to ensure they are fit for purpose.
* Using good DIY skills to ensure the safety of service users is maintained.
* Helping with regular checks and maintenance.
* Supporting in the repair and maintenance of all buildings.
* Assisting with decorating tasks.
* Liaising with a manager to report faults and defects.
* Participating in a one-week on-call rota for emergency maintenance.
* Coordinating with contractors on site and completing all necessary paperwork and tool checks.
* Maintaining the perimeter fencing around the boundaries.
* Supporting gardening groups with patients.
To be successful in this role, you will:
* Follow systems and procedures.
* Have previous maintenance experience.
* Have gardening experience.
* Work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
* Show courtesy and respect to residents to ensure high-quality service.
* Attend and participate in training sessions and staff meetings.

You will work at Gregory House, a Learning Disability and Autism service supporting 22 adults with Learning Disabilities and/or Mental Health needs. The service provides a specialist environment with an enhanced support level for individuals with challenging behavior and high support needs, aiming to promote independence and quality of life.
