Drivers Mate – Eastleigh – Temp to Perm
Monday to Friday, average of 40 hours a week
£12.21ph (increasing to £12.70ph from 1st April)
Wild Recruitment are currently seeking Drivers mates for a busy distribution client based in the Southampton area
PLEASE NOTE: Start times are between 5am and 7am so it is important you are able to get there without having to rely on public transport
What you’ll get up to as a Drivers Mate
1. Working closely with the HGV drivers, you will be helping deliver products to various customers across the country
2. Drivers mates have a variety of tasks including map reading, helping to load and unload, giving a hand with tricky manoeuvres and managing paperwork
3. Safety will be your number one priority and it’s important that you’re professional and friendly with customers
What we need from you
4. The ability to undertake heavy lifting as you will be required to help the driver load and unload the vehicle
5. You must be over the age of 21 due to insurance
6. A passion for delivering excellent customer service
7. Be local to the area, or be able to get to Eastleigh without relying on public transport due to early start times
