Raw Materials Technologist (Maternity Cover)
Location: Windmill Lane, Grantham or Craigavon
Contract: Fixed Term Contract
We're looking for a detail-focused Raw Materials Technologist to support supplier compliance, ingredient safety, and specification accuracy across our business.
What You'll Do
* Request, review and approve raw material specifications and supplier certifications.
* Complete and maintain raw material and packaging risk assessments.
* Keep internal spec systems fully updated and compliant with customer and legislative standards.
* Validate on-pack claims (vegan, welfare, organic, RSPO, PDO etc.).
* Support suppliers with our policies and Smile system.
* Act as the main contact for sites on raw material queries.
* Manage raw material SAP codes and archive obsolete specs.
What You'll Bring
Essential:
* Food qualification or relevant experience.
* Strong IT and communication skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritise.
* Self-motivated and able to work to deadlines.
Desirable:
1. Experience writing specs or working in technical/regulatory roles.
2. Knowledge of food legislation and customer requirements.
