Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Repairs Manager to lead the delivery of responsive repairs, disrepair, and damp & mould services across a large social housing portfolio.This is a key leadership role within a busy Repairs and Maintenance team, responsible for managing contractor performance, driving service improvements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and leading a team of surveyors and technical specialists.
The Role
As Repairs Manager, you will act as the lead officer for disrepair and damp & mould services, ensuring that repairs are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and to the highest standards of customer satisfaction.You will oversee contractor performance, monitor service delivery against KPIs, manage budgets, and support the implementation of strategic improvements aligned with current social housing regulations and standards.The role also requires close collaboration with senior stakeholders and external partners, helping to drive a culture of continuous improvement and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the management of responsive repairs, disrepair, and damp & mould contracts.
* Act as the lead officer for damp & mould and disrepair matters.
* Ensure contractor compliance, performance management, and service quality.
* Monitor expenditure and budget performance in line with financial regulations.
* Drive service improvements and organisational change initiatives.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, housing regulations, and statutory obligations.
* Manage and develop a team of surveyors and technical professionals.
* Produce performance reports and present findings to senior leadership and management forums.
* Deliver customer-focused services and champion continuous improvement across the repairs function.
