We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (EYFS Support Assistant) to join our Early Years team, providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils with additional needs. Key Responsibilities
EYFS Support Assistant | Support for Pupils
Use personal skills, training, and experience to support the holistic development of a pupil as an EYFS Support Assistant.
Help implement and review individual targets and learning plans.
Support the pupils access to learning, play, and social interactions using appropriate strategies and resources.
Promote positive behaviour, independence, and self-reliance.
EYFS Support Assistant | Support for the Teacher
Assist in creating a positive and stimulating learning environment.
Observe and monitor pupil responses to learning, contributing to assessments and reviews.
Maintain accurate records and provide feedback on pupil progress.
Promote positive attitudes and behaviour in line with the schools values.
Communicate effectively with parents and carers, under the direction of the teacher.
EYFS Support Assistant | Person Specification
Essential
Experience working with or caring for Early Years children.
Degree in a relevant subject (Early Years, Education Studies, Psychology)
Ability to build positive relationships with children and adults.
Calm, compassionate, and responsive under pressure.
Desirable
NVQ Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
Intention to pursueadditional qualifications (THRIVE, ELSA, Place2Be)
