We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to join us here at Supermassive Games…
As Senior Accountant at Supermassive Games you will be integral in supporting our game development teams, reporting our performance, planning for the future and ensuring we are compliant with all requirements. As part of a small finance team you will lead our efforts to refine/improve our processes and systems, making sure we are always ahead of the curve when it comes to best practice financial operations.
This role will be based in our central Guildford office, a short distance from the main train station, and will report in to the Chief Financial Officer.
Here’s just a snippet of what you’ll be up to:
1. Overseeing all accounting across the company
2. Reporting to internal and external stakeholders, including producing year end accounts; overseeing tax and audit processes
3. Managing the annual budget, long term plan and regular forecasting processes
4. Providing financial support to production team stakeholders including reviewing commercial terms; ensuring appropriate forecasting of new and existing projects; monitoring project spend
5. Cash management, including overview of cash forecasting, payment and payroll processing
6. Managing the tax credit reclaim process
7. Management and development of an accounts assistant
What we’re looking for:
8. A background working within a creative industry – ideally gaming, but we will also consider applicants who have worked within TV, film, music etc
9. Strong technical accounting experience allied to a strategic business mindset
10. Excellent communication skills; able to deal with multiple stakeholders
11. A competent leader with a history of developing and managing finance teams
12. Demonstratable experience in managing multiple senior level stakeholder relationships
13. Good knowledge of the tax credit process
14. Relevant qualifications (e.g. ACA, ACCA)
