Role Purpose The Maintenance Control Engineer will ensure that all plant and equipment is maintained to a fit-for-purpose standard. They will be responsible for supervising maintenance service procedures and ensuring that machine downtime is minimised. Delivery Assist with the set-up and operation of planned preventative maintenance procedures. Undertake planned preventative maintenance as required. Ensure that breakdowns are responded to in a prompt and efficient manner. Assist with the set-up of emergency procedures for machine breakdowns. Understand and execute defined emergency procedures in the event of machine breakdown in order to minimise downtime. Assess and minimise risks associated with maintenance issues. Ensure all software is backed up and stored correctly. Ensure that clear work instructions are available for key equipment. Adhere to Company policy, operating to defined procedures and work instructions. Be aware of and ensure compliance with applicable Health and Safety regulations. Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to analyse downtime and overall equipment effectiveness. Perform any other duties as reasonably requested by the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor.
