Position:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administrative and Clerical Officer Pharmacy Contract Savings within our Pharmacy Department based at University Crosshouse Hospital
Hours and Shift Pattern:
34 hours per week, Monday - Friday
This post is offered on a permanent basis
What you will do:
Working alongside procurement and contracts staff to ensure that the CMM stock control database is promptly updated with information released from National Procurement for all new and updated contracts (including Homecare products) to ensure that items supplied by pharmacy are purchased in compliance with these contracts.
Liaise with clinical leads to ensure formulary and contract compliance.
Work in conjunction procurement and contracts staff to collate data on medicines usage in NHS Ayrshire and Arran Acute Hospital Sites for forecast demands used in the negotiation of National Contracts.
Maintains contract savings database with information on prescribing CRES, Homecare savings and savings generated via the Patient Access Scheme. ·
Scrutinise the RxInfo system to ensure compliance with National Contracts and the swift processing of off-contract claims

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
Experience:
• Requires experience in stores and stock control procedures preferably within a hospital pharmacy environment.
• Requires a moderate degree of knowledge of the CMM pharmacy procurement system.
• Requires good communication skills (oral and written).
• Requires good arithmetic skills.
• Requires good keyboard skills and knowledge of Microsoft software.
• Literate on modern IT Procurement systems preferred
Knowledge:
• Knowledge of pharmacy policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of NHS Ayrshire & Arran policies and procedures. (desirable)
• Knowledge of relevant national standards, guidelines and regulations
• Knowledge of Standing Financial Instructions
