We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Phonics Specialist Teaching Assistant to support early reading development in a primary school based in Croxteth. This full-time, temporary role is ideal for someone passionate about literacy and phonics, with a strong understanding of early years or KS1 learning strategies.
You will be responsible for delivering targeted phonics interventions, supporting whole-class phonics sessions, working closely with class teachers and SEN staff, and helping pupils develop confidence and fluency in reading.
We’re looking for someone who:
* Has experience delivering phonics (ideally Letters and Sounds or Read Write Inc.)
* Holds a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
* Is confident working with small groups and one-to-one
* Is enthusiastic and proactive
* Can build strong relationships with pupils and staff
