At Waukesha Bearings, a proud member of Dover Precision Components, we are on the lookout for a talented Skilled CNC Operator to join our dynamic team. Here, you will be part of a cutting-edge, fully integrated Computer Aided Manufacturing facility, where you will utilize CNC machining centers for turning, milling, and grinding operations. Your expertise will help us produce customized designs from a variety of materials, including steel grades, copper, brass, aluminum, and bronze.
Our facility boasts a diverse range of multi-axis machine tools, including lathes, mills, and grinders. You will be working on a high-mix of customized fluid-film bearings, seals, and isolators, serving customers across Europe and beyond.
What We Offer
* Annual Salary:
o £44,919.62 for a weekly rotating shift pattern (early 6am and backshifts 2pm)
o £52,452.37 for night shift work
* Working Hours: 37-hour work week, Monday to Friday with permanent employment contracts.

What You Will Bring
* Time-served apprenticeship in a machining discipline or SVQ/NVQ level 3 or HNC in Mechanical Engineering
* A minimum of 5 years’ experience operating CNC machine tools in a lean-manufacturing environment
* Established experience with Rotary Table Grinders, CNC Table Grinders, or 5 Axis CNC Grinders
* OR established milling experience with multi-axis machine tools, ideally Correa and/or Doosan
* Experience with machine control systems such as Fanuc, Mazak, Heidenhain, or Haas
* Proven ability to hold tight machining tolerances of less than .0025mm
* Familiarity with precision inspection equipment (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges)
* Experience in power generation, oil & gas, aerospace, or similar environments is a plus
What You Will Do
* Read process sheets, blueprints, and sketches to determine machining requirements
* Locate and download programs from a DNC storage system
* Interpret work instructions and select appropriate tooling for operations
* Calculate feeds and speeds for various materials
* Read, understand, edit, or write complete programs
* Understand tooling and machinery capabilities
* Perform necessary quality inspections and apply Lean Manufacturing principles
* Visually inspect final components and prepare them for shipment
* Use precision measuring instruments for quality verification
* Identify components post-assembly/manufacture
