This role will play a critical commercial role in a key growth priority area for us – Media Effectiveness and Creative testing solutions. Whilst we are already successful in this space, this role offers an exciting opportunity to seek out new opportunities. We know the opportunities are out there in abundance, so we are looking for someone to bring new logos to the business. The successful candidate will bring proven commercial experience in winning new logos and a track record of both selling and establishing key strategic relationships with prospects. This role is part of our New Business team and will collaborate closely with our Business Development, Media and Creative practices, a smart team of consultants powered by scalable best-in-class media and creative tools.
The Media Domain team is a specialist practice within Kantar Insights that focuses on campaign measurement. We work with clients to help them understand the impact their campaigns have on key brand metrics such as brand awareness, and brand consideration, and find opportunities to optimise campaigns for greater success. So far, we have measured over 25,000 campaigns, work with 90% of the top 100 brands globally and are market leaders for campaign measurement, an area we have been pioneering, most recently with cookieless tracking.
The Creative Domain team helps clients navigate the creative journey from identifying the best idea, right through to flawless execution and best practice learnings for the next campaign. Drawing on the world’s largest database, behavioural measures, neuroscience capabilities, and extensively validated solutions, we show clients exactly how to develop and optimise creative to stand out, create meaningful impressions and generate sales.

The Business Development Director role is a vital and newly created position to support the continued rapid growth of Media Domain and Creative teams (doubled in size over last 2 years) – it’s an exciting time to join the team work closely with the rest of the hungry and successful new business development team supporting with commercial activity within the Media & Creative Domains and Marketing team.
You will play an important part in contributing to the overall financial growth of the Media and Creative Domain teams to grow revenue from products across
the business.
You need to be proactive, positive, confident engaging, and able to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously along with keeping up with the latest product and industry developments. We are looking for a compelling story-teller who is CURIOUS to understand more about our prospects and ultimately WIN NEW BUSINESS.
PERFORMANCE AREAS
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
* Seeking out and developing your own leads, new logo opportunities and relationships via in-person and online meetings, conferences & events, cold calling, LinkedIn etc.
* Setting up and attending new prospect discovery calls to understand their needs, objectives and goals
* Working closely with the other Business Development Directors to identify key targets, creating strategies to win clients and building partnerships for predictable revenue
* Working across Media Agency, Media Owner and Creative Agency client base
* Build and manage a strong pipeline of client opportunities
* Pro-active Account Management: build partnerships to help expand buying points within an account and also secure volume sales
* Become proficient at describing relevant products and services, identifying client need and how we will answer it
* Consultative Selling: Understand customer requirements and their business challenges to provide relevant research solutions
* Proactively keep up to date with latest industry development to build knowledge and identify commercial opportunities
* Develop client relationships with aim to evolve into a partnership
* Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in market sales within research and/or media industry
* Media Agency and Media Owner contacts
* A strong understanding of media, creative and advertising industry
* Success in business development working with some of the world’s largest, most prestigious and famous media owners and agencies
* Hard working attitude; self-starter; “can do” attitude
* Good sense of humour, positive attitude PASSION and CURIOSITY
* Ambition to join a successful growing team and support future growth through on-boarding of new clients
