About the Role
We're looking for a skilled BMS Commissioning Engineer to join our growing team, delivering high-quality building automation and energy management solutions across commercial and industrial environments.
You’ll play a key role in commissioning, optimising, and troubleshooting BMS systems-ensuring performance, efficiency, and client satisfaction at every stage.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver a best‑in‑class service with a strong focus on customer satisfaction
* Conduct site inspections and system assessments (HVAC, lighting, controls)
* Define project scope and requirements with clients and project managers
* Develop and initiate commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules
* Configure and programme BMS hardware and software (controllers, sensors, interfaces)
* Perform functional testing and validate system performance
* Diagnose and resolve technical issues during commissioning and post‑installation
* Collaborate with internal teams and clients to optimise system performance
* Provide training and support to end users
* Produce commissioning documentation, reports, and as‑built drawings
* Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices
* Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and BMS capabilities
About You
* 3+ years' experience in BMS commissioning and troubleshooting (commercial and/or industrial)
* Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and control strategies
* Experience with Trend, Schneider, Tridium or Sigma systems (preferred)
* Proficient in configuring and programming BEMS components
* Familiar with protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, and Ethernet/IP
* Strong problem‑solving and diagnostic skills
* Excellent communication and organisational abilities
* Detail‑oriented with a structured approach to project delivery
* Team‑focused with a collaborative mindset
* Knowledge of energy efficiency, sustainability standards, and UK regulations (advantageous)
* Full UK driving licence
