Overview
Band 7 CAMHS Clinical Psychologist – Rowan, Weston-super-Mare. We have an opportunity to join an experienced and established team of Clinical Psychologists within our multidisciplinary Community CAMHS Team. You will be qualified and registered as a Clinical Psychologist with experience of working with children and young people, preferably within a community CAMHS service.
Weston-super-Mare and Clevedon are thriving seaside towns within easy commuting distance to Bristol and Taunton, with access to the M5. The area offers coastal and countryside opportunities and good school provision.
Responsibilities
* Provide a clinical psychology service to the specified Team/Service
* Assess and treat a specialist workload of clients and maintain associated records
* Participate in CPD and other developmental activities
* Undertake research and development and clinical audit
* Clinically supervise Assistant Psychologists, other professionals and trainee Clinical Psychologists
Qualifications and Experience
* Essential: Doctoral clinical psychology qualification or equivalent
* Essential: HCPC registration maintained
* Essential: Post-qualification experience delivering evidence-based therapies to young people and families in CAMHS
* Essential: Experience working in a multidisciplinary team and contributing to team meetings
* Desirable: Experience of specialist assessments/interventions (e.g., Autism assessments/ADOS, Eating Disorders, specialist CBT)
* Essential: Ability to work with children, young people and families from diverse backgrounds
* Essential: Ability to work autonomously, organise and prioritise workload
* Essential: Experience of assessing and managing safeguarding risks (self-harm and risk to others)
* Desirable: Experience in clinical supervision/consultation for junior colleagues or other staff
