The role of the QC Analyst is to ensure all quality control activities are completed, following the required procedures, in a timely manner to ensure that business needs are met. Key Accountabilities Maintain specifications, sampling instructions, test methods and other quality control procedures to ensure that they’re up-to-date and, where applicable, reflect current regulatory and/or pharmacopeial requirements. Ensure all necessary testing is undertaken on starting materials, packaging materials, and finished products to meet business requirements. Review and evaluate analytical records for disposition of starting materials, packaging materials, and finished products. Ensure that all working areas are kept clean & tidy and good standards of housekeeping are employed. Support audits by both internal and external parties. Keep up to date with current literature, test method developments and regulatory requirements. Essential Skills, Qualifications and Experience Essential Skills To be successful in this role, applicants need to have the following essential skills and experience: Experience of working within a pharmaceutical quality control laboratory Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain relationships internally and externally to the business IT competent (e.g., Microsoft office) Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under their own initiative. Experience of statistical analysis of analytical QC data BSc in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent experience Desirable Skills A working knowledge and practical experience with method development and validation of analytical techniques such as such as FT-IR, immunoassay, immunoblotting and electrophoresis, HPLC, UV, FTIR and LCMS Reacta Healthcare are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and respected.
