An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Women's and Children's Division as a Colposcopy Booking Administrator.
You will have excellent administration and IT skills with attention to detail being crucial. Good communication skills are key as you will be working as part of a fast paced multi disciplinary team.
This is a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.
Main duties of the job
To work as part of the booking team to provide a highly confidential patient booking and administrative service for the Obstetrics and Gynaecology colposcopy team.
To maintain a high standard of service to ensure all referrals are logged on the Trust CareFlow EPR and the National Masey Colposcopy Database and that appointments are booked in line with National standards and within agreed timescales. Precise and timely data entry logging referrals and booking appointments is crucial. The postholder will be expected to communicate and deal politely and sensitively with patients. The ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clinical teams is essential.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
Essential criteria
11. Good basic education with Maths and English Language GCSE Grade C or above or Equivalent
12. Computer literate, knowledge of MS Office.
13. Education to GCSE or equivalent
14. Knowledge of BHT Trust computer systems
EXPERIENCE
Essential criteria
15. Strong experience of dealing face to face and over the phone with patients in an office environment
16. Working with spreadsheets and/ or databases and NHS
17. Experience of taking and responding to telephone enquiries from customers and within own organisation and prioritising as necessary.
18. Previous experience in the NHS.
19. Understanding of national targets for colposcopy

20. Basic knowledge of medical terminology
21. Understanding of Trust access policy
