Overview
We are a 39‑bed Stroke Unit providing care for both hyper‑acute and acute stroke patients. Thrombolysis is an integral part of stroke care and is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Role
We are looking for experienced Clinical Support Workers. Hospital experience is desirable but not essential. Your role will involve performing delegated clinical procedures such as insertion and removal of cannula, venepuncture, wound assessment and simple dressings, and removal of urinary catheter. Training will be provided.
Responsibilities
* Perform insertion and removal of cannula
* Conduct venepuncture
* Assess wounds and apply simple dressings
* Remove urinary catheter
* Participate in the multidisciplinary team and support patient care
Qualifications
* Minimum GCSE English and Maths grade C or 4, or Functional Skills in English/Maths
* Care Certificate and/or NVQ2 (two levels) in health and social care, or equivalent
* Well‑motivated, committed to high standards of patient care and professional development
