Job Vacancy: Teaching Assistant Level 2 (Supply Basis – Nursery)
Location: Primary School in Eastham
Contract: On-going, starting after Easter
Hours: Mornings only

Key Responsibilities:
– Assist in the delivery of educational activities and support the classroom teacher
– Help create a nurturing and stimulating environment for children
– Provide individual support to pupils with their learning and development
– Assist with daily routines and tasks within the nursery setting
Requirements:
– Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
– Experience working with young children in an educational setting
– A patient and caring approach towards children
– Excellent communication and teamwork skills

As a teaching assistant you’ll be expected to:
15. Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the head teacher, ALNCO and class teachers
16. Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Programmes (IEP) for students and help monitor their progress
17. Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
18. Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
19. Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills
