Salary Guide: £55 – 65k+ (DOE), car allowance and benefits
Our Client: Is a Main/Principal Contractor within the Water, Industrial, MOD, and Power Sectors. This includes all aspects of New Build, Refurbishment, Civil Engineering and MEICA Projects.
Extensive experience within these areas of construction, they aim to be pivotal in galvanising the design teams, subcontractors, and supply chain to ensure each project is carried out safely, within programme, to budget and of the highest quality. They pride themselves on their integrity, competency, transparency and openness with clients and supply chain.
The Role: Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the construction phase of projects, ensuring contracts are delivered on time, on budget and fulfilling contractual obligations.
1. Developing and implementing the Construction Programme from inception to completion.
2. Managing the overall design process and design team when working on D&B contracts.
3. Working closely with Commercial Department to assist with procurement of subcontractors.
4. Managing and overseeing all aspects of Health and Safety onsite, including undertaking daily site Inductions, vetting/checking of subcontractors RAMS, weekly site/plant inspections.
5. Liaising/communicating directly with Clients and design teams.
6. Procurement/ordering of site materials and consumables.
7. Monitoring of quality and workmanship onsite.
8. Compile and deliver monthly Progress Reports to the client and design team (project dependant).
9. Attend monthly internal Production Meetings.
10. Lead a team of employees and subcontractors effectively to ensure the client’s and company’s objectives are exceeded.
Qualifications:
1. Qualification in a construction or engineering related discipline.
2. APMP or equivalent (desirable).
3. Must be delivery driven with the ability to set targets and manage and motivate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver to time, cost and quality objectives.
4. Strategic, operational, technical and management skills.
5. Previous experience within water treatment, power, MOD or industrial sectors preferable.
6. Experience in using Primavera or Power Project.
7. Working knowledge of CDM and construction Health & Safety.
8. SMSTS and CSCS.
