We are recruiting a Band 7 Clinical Psychologist to support adults with learning disabilities in Salford's Community Learning Disability Team. This permanent, full‑time role is open to newly qualified clinical psychologists who would be supported on a preceptorship, or experienced senior clinical psychologists.

Responsibilities
* Provide specialist clinical psychology assessment, formulation and interventions to adults with learning disabilities who present with complex difficulties, and to their systems of support (family, staff, carers).
* Provide therapeutic groups and consultative advice and support.
* Lead the dementia pathway while maintaining and developing links with the mainstream memory service in Salford and other mainstream dementia services.
* Train colleagues, carers and paid staff to build capacity and capability within the workforce.
* Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings and collaborate with professional colleagues; support the wider team with psychological aspects of care.
* Supervise assistant psychologist(s) and trainee clinical psychologists as appropriate.
* Promote an understanding of the psychological needs of people with learning disabilities through professional communications, education, policy development, audit and research.
