You will play a crucial role in ensuring equipment reliability, taking charge of reactive repairs, preventive maintenance activities, and fostering continuous improvement in our around-the-clock operations. As part of a highly trained team, you’ll have the opportunity to help multiple facilities and make a real impact!Provide engineering guidance to production, resolving breakdowns and assisting with the resolution of priority engineering issuesDeliver planned maintenance to sustain the reliability of our assetsTo work with minimal guidance, with the ability to resolve problems Work to company practices, procedures and rules to ensure health & safety, food safety and legal compliance are upheldAssist external contractors providing additional help for reactive activities, to ensure company practices, procedures and rules are understood and adhered to.To have familiarity with working on a wide variety of engineering assets.Effectively diagnose and repair plant equipment to component level (excluding high voltage and gas).Escalate all equipment issues which cannot be effectively resolved to the appropriate functionsIdentify opportunities to improve the reliability of assets and engineering working processes.Assist with Improvement projects, identifying engineering root causes and complete CI project work actionsComplete effective handover to the oncoming teamProvide training and guidance to engineers, operators and apprenticesThe Ingredients (What we need from you)Key SkillsDemonstrable mechanical and electrical knowledge through training and experience.Engineering Qualification or apprenticeship (HNC or above preferred).Good solution-finding experience.Good IT experience to include the use of Computer Maintenance Management Systems.Desirable SkillsEngineering experience in a food manufacturing environment.
