Role Summary We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Criminal Paralegal to join our legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who have completed the Bar course/LPC/SQE and are eager to gain hands-on experience in criminal law. You will work closely with solicitors and barristers, supporting them throughout case preparation, managing client relations, and ensuring smooth trial proceedings. Key Responsibilities Conduct legal research on criminal law matters and case precedents Draft legal documents, witness statements, and court bundles Assist with trial preparation and evidence review Liaise with clients, police, courts, and other legal stakeholders Organise and manage case files, both digital and physical Track deadlines and ensure timely submission of documents Assist with scheduling, witness coordination, and courtroom preparation Essential Requirements Completion of the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC)/LPC or equivalent Strong interest and foundational knowledge in criminal law Excellent verbal and written communication skills High attention to detail and strong organisational skills Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems (LEAP) Previous experience in a criminal law setting is advantageous but not essential Driving Licence and Car (Preferable) Opportunities & Benefits Hands-on exposure to complex and high-profile criminal cases Regular trial preparation experience Mentorship from experienced solicitors and barristers Career progression opportunities within criminal defence or advocacy Ongoing professional development support Salary £24,000 £30,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications How to Apply Please submit your CV and a short cover letter outlining your interest in the role and any relevant experience.
