Chef – £15.50 per hour – Weekly Pay
Start Date: 10th August 2025
Contract: 6- Months (possible extension)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week | 5 days out of 7 | Every other weekend
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable Chef to join our clients team. The role is full-time, working 37.5 hours per week across a 7-day rota, including every other weekend. Days off are provided during the week when weekends are worked.
Shift patterns: Monday to Friday:
1. 8:00am – 4:00pm
2. 10:30am – 6:30pm
3. 1:00pm – 9:00pm
Saturday and/or Sunday:
4. 7:30am – 9:00pm (can be worked as one long shift or split across both days)
Key Duties & Responsibilities for a Chef:
5. Preparing and cooking meals in line with pre-set menus and dietary requirements
6. Batch cooking to ensure consistent quality and portion control
7. Following standardised recipes and procedures
8. Ensuring food is prepared and served safely, meeting all food hygiene standards
9. Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment
10. Monitoring stock levels and informing the relevant person of any shortages
11. Adhering to all health and safety and food safety regulations
12. Working both independently and as part of a small team
Requirements for a Chef:
13. Level 2 Food Safety Certificate (essential)
14. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (due to location)
15. Previous experience working in a similar chef or cook role
16. Strong understanding of food hygiene, allergen management, and safe food handling
17. Ability to follow structured menus and recipes confidently
