AtkinsRéalis Infrastructure division has an opportunity for a Senior Building Surveyor to join our Bristol offices; working in a multi-disciplinary environment to deliver a full suite of Building Surveying services. We offer varied and interesting work with high-profile public and private sector clients.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong ambition to progress, enjoys working collaboratively, and has experience managing client relationships and legal/technical issues.
We seek a candidate who is technically competent, works well in teams, and is committed to excellent client service.
This is a great opportunity for a Chartered Building Surveyor with post-qualification experience to develop their career within a forward-thinking organization.
Responsibilities
* Managing multiple projects across sectors, providing building surveying and project management duties.
* Supporting business development efforts.
* Managing client relationships and service delivery per project.
* Supporting senior managers in daily operations, including project management, contract administration, surveys, and small-medium projects.
* Applying standard building contracts (JCT, NEC).
* Staying updated on industry best practices.
* Managing teams and delivering under framework agreements.
* Experience in sectors such as education, local authorities, healthcare, government, and infrastructure.
* Conducting defect analysis, surveys, and producing reports and specifications.
* Understanding quality, safety, and environmental principles in project management.
* Providing pre- and post-contract project management services.
Requirements
* BSc (Honors) Building Surveying, RICS accredited or equivalent.
* Full RICS membership.
* Demonstrable broad surveying experience.
* Experience in pre- and post-contract management.
* Strong team skills and communication abilities.
* Willingness to travel.
* Ability to collaborate with senior colleagues to build profitable and high-performing teams.
* Experience with AutoCAD and Revit is advantageous.
* Knowledge of BIM systems.
* Mentoring experience for APC candidates.
* Full understanding of health and safety standards.
