Job Title: Primary Teacher
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum
Location: New Barn School, Newbury, Berkshire, RG20 8HZ
Contract: Permanent Term Time Only
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm including 1x 5pm finish

Job Summary and Duties
As a Primary Teacher at New Barn School, you will deliver engaging educational programs tailored to each pupil to ensure positive outcomes. The role is challenging yet rewarding, involving leading and coordinating flexible, person-centred study programs for individuals and groups. You should demonstrate a practical, hands-on approach to teaching and be willing to go above and beyond for the young people we support.
Duties Will Include:
* Teaching a variety of subjects
* Preparing, planning, and assessing sessions, staying updated on curriculum developments
* Writing and implementing individual education plans, assessing attainment, and setting challenging yet achievable targets
* Building relationships with pupils to encourage interest and participation in education
* Creating a stimulating environment that promotes learning outside the classroom
Key Skills Required:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching a range of primary subjects at a good or outstanding level
* Knowledge of current educational practices, curriculum, and issues
* Experience working with pupils with challenging behaviors (SEMH/EBD) in an SEN setting
