We are keen to employ a passionate individual who cares about customers and strives to always deliver a top-class service level in their team.

Summary of Main Tasks:

Payroll

·Assist in processing monthly payroll for 800+ staff

·Processing previous and current month’s leavers – calculations and issuing p45’s

·Calculating sickness payments (CSP & SSP) and other absences

·New Starters administration – set up on the payroll system and calculate first month’s salary according to start date

·Process all Change to Terms & Personal Details Changes – update payroll software and calculate any changes to salary. New Starters pay increases to be calculated and processed following successful probation period

·Attachment of Earnings – process new and maintain existing, deal with any external queries i.e. Council, CSA, DWP. Liaise with Finance to ensure payments are made

·Process maternity, paternity, adoption and shared parental leave documentation in line with current Company working practices and legislative guidelines

·Month End reporting – liaising with Finance to ensure they have information to process payments. Sending information to relevant departments, as required

·Assist in Year End reporting

·Dealing with and resolving all payroll queries from employees and external contacts

·Production of weekly departmental reporting

·Updating and creating of employee records both internally and on the HR system

·Drafting and issuing change of terms records and paperwork

·Co-ordinate and provide information for monthly payroll in the absence of the Payroll Supervisor

·Assist when needed with ad-hoc projects / tasks within the department

·Input payroll details into the Iris Staffology payroll system

Pension

·Administrating auto-enrolment for all employees – liaising with Finance and actioning any changes required

·Maintaining existing employee’s pension schemes – dealing with any queries from employees and the pension provider

Absence

·Monitor and analyse absence data in line with the company absence procedure and liase with line manager (as applicable)

HR Admin

·Processing of starter and leaver paperwork including CRB checks, credit searches and employment references

·Conducting exit interviews

Person Specification

·Strong administrator

·Previous payroll experience

·Experience using MS Office, Outlook etc

·Query resolution via telephone and email

·Strong Excel skills

·Reliable and trustworthy

·Team Player

·Positive attitude

·Excellent communicator and listener

·Analytical

·Friendly and approachable

·Hard working

·Flexible

You must be willing to work 37.5 hours per week. (5 days per week Monday to Friday)
