Careermakers Recruitment are looking for a Workshop Assistant for our ever-growing client based in the heart of Normanton, WF6.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist fabricators with general workshop duties
* Support operation of machinery including press brake (under supervision)
* Carry out sanding, drilling, and basic finishing tasks
* Move, load, and organise aluminium and steel materials around the workshop
* Prepare materials and components for fabrication
* Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment
* Assist with unloading deliveries and storing stock correctly
* Follow instructions to support efficient production flow
Candidate Requirements:
* Previous experience working within a fabrication department is essential
* Experience handling aluminium and steel materials is required
* Comfortable with manual, hands-on work in a workshop environment
* Good understanding of basic fabrication processes
* Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
* Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
* Flexible with working hours and willing to undertake overtime when required
* Strong awareness of health and safety practices
Working hours will be Monday - Friday 7am - 3.30pm, with a pay rate of £12.80 per hour depending on experience
