The role is largely field-based, ideally located in or around the Metropolitan Borough of Kirklees to cover your assigned regions of North East, North, and North West, including other areas of the country as required.
You would be part of a team of SHE Advisors reporting to the H&S Manager. Benefits include:

Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor responsibilities:
* Conduct site and scaffold inspections at Ian Williams Limited worksites
* Monitor site compliance with procedures, risk assessments, and legal requirements, producing reports
* Build relationships across all levels within the business to foster cooperation
* Influence behaviors to promote good health and safety management
* Provide health, safety, and environmental advice, guidance, and training to operational staff and site management, including risk assessment, policies, and procedures
* Undertake incident investigations and annual audits of local offices
Candidate requirements:
* Experience in a health and safety role or working towards a career in Health and Safety
* Strong communication skills for collaboration and problem-solving
* Commitment to health and safety of others
* Attention to detail and ownership of work
* Inquisitiveness, ability to ask questions, establish facts, and challenge unsafe behaviors respectfully
* Good problem-solving skills and willingness to undertake further qualifications
* Confident in using IT systems
* Full, clean UK driver’s license
